Service Description
A detailed assessment designed to understand the factors affecting your mobility, confidence and independence. Whether you are recovering after a hospital stay, have experienced a fall, feel unsteady on your feet, or have noticed a gradual reduction in strength and confidence, this assessment helps identify what is limiting your day-to-day activities and what can be done to improve them. Includes: Detailed discussion of your concerns and goals Review of your medical history and current health Assessment of walking, balance and mobility Strength and functional movement assessment Falls and safety risk assessment Assessment of transfers (bed, chair, stairs and everyday activities) Identification of factors affecting confidence and independence Personalised rehabilitation plan tailored to your needs Suitable for: Recent falls or near-falls Reduced confidence when walking Recovery following illness or hospital admission Mobility difficulties related to age or long-term conditions General loss of strength or balance Family concerns regarding independence and safety Outcome: A clear understanding of your current abilities, achievable goals and a structured plan to help you move with greater confidence and independence.


Cancellation Policy
Safe Stride Physiotherapy Booking Policy 1. Appointment Booking - Appointments can be booked online, by phone, or via email. - Bookings are confirmed once you receive a confirmation message. - Please ensure your contact details are accurate so we can reach you if needed. 2. Travel & Service Area - Mobile physiotherapy appointments are available within Doncaster and surrounding villages. - Travel fees may apply for locations outside the standard radius. These will be confirmed before your appointment. 3. Payment Terms - Payment is due at the time of the appointment, unless agreed otherwise. - Accepted payment methods: card, bank transfer, or cash. - Invoices for ongoing treatment plans must be settled within 7 days. 4. Cancellation & Rescheduling - Please provide **at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. - Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a 50% cancellation fee. - Missed appointments without notice will be charged at full price. 5. Client Responsibilities - Ensure there is adequate space for assessment and treatment. - Please inform the physiotherapist of any changes in your health or medication before the session. - If you are feeling unwell (fever, contagious illness, etc.), please reschedule your appointment. 6. Therapist Safety & Environment - The therapist must be able to work in a safe, clean environment. - If the therapist feels unsafe or the environment is unsuitable, the appointment may be terminated and charged accordingly. 7. Medical Consent & Suitability - By booking, you confirm that you understand the nature of physiotherapy treatment and consent to assessment and intervention. - If physiotherapy is not appropriate, you may be advised to seek medical attention instead. 8. Privacy & Confidentiality - All personal and medical information is kept strictly confidential. - Records are stored securely in accordance with GDPR requirements. 9. Late Arrivals (Home Visit Policy) - Please ensure you are ready for your appointment at the scheduled time, as sessions take place in your home. - If you are not available when the therapist arrives, the session time may be reduced 10. Weather and Access -In cases of severe weather or access issues, appointments may need to be rescheduled -You will be contacted as early as possible if changes are required
